I would like to tell you a bit more about two members of my team, Laura Duff and Sarah Bateman.
I wanted to share with you their recent achievements and let you know that all of our members of staff are encouraged and supported to excel in their roles and progress though the company.
Laura (pictured left) joined our team as a Care Coordinator having worked in care for many years since a very young age. Laura is a really dedicated member of our Apollo Care North Liverpool. Laura had never been given the opportunity to do her level 5 in Management but now she is currently completing this with us. Since starting Laura has already completed our in house Management Training.
Laura has also recently completed our in house telephone training course. This is additional training that we offer to our office staff as we feel it is important that they have these skills and are confident dealing with calls.
It can be a difficult skill to master but it’s a really important one as some people may have taken weeks to decide to make that call to us and need to hear a friendly voice and require help and advice.
Part of the training involved a “mystery shopper” phoning the office, Laura passed with flying colours. This is something to be very proud of as the office can be extremely busy with one call after the other.
Sarah (pictured right) joined our company as a Community Care Assistant with lots of experience. Sarah soon showed how willing and skilled she is and was soon promoted to a Senior Carer. Sarah is currently doing her NVQ level 3.
Sarah too undertook our telephone training course and also passed with flying colours. Sarah is currently receiving further office training.
I very much believe in investing in my staff and supporting them to be where they want to be in their careers and to progress. This benefits our staff and our clients and us as a business.
