In August 2012 I decided to leave my coordinators role at another care company as I was not getting the job satisfaction I craved, I needed to go back to delivering care and step away from the admin side. I was taken on as a care assistant in August 2012 by Apollo Care and I loved the role, finally I had an employer whose focus was the client not the money!! I decided I wanted to buy a franchise of Apollo Care after I had been working for them for 12months and I knew we had shared beliefs in how care should be delivered.
Apollo Care (West Wirral) is now in its 5th year of operating and I cannot believe how fast that has gone by! I would be lying if I said it has all been plain sailing, there have been many ups and downs but I can 100% say I would do it all again.
In September 2013 by journey as Managing Director of Apollo Care (West Wirral) began. At first I couldn’t believe it, I was a carer not an MD – wrong!! I was a lady who wanted to change care, change poor employment norms for care staff and to deliver care how I would want to be treated. A bit like CQCs Mum test, except mine is the Me Test! The thing that really drives me to promote our service is the knowledge that we do care right, we have empathy, we have masses experience between us and we always put the service user first. Having worked in social care since I was 16years old (23 years so far!) I have really seen many situations good and bad but the one thing that sticks with me throughout is the unwavering dedication of care staff who go above and beyond every single day.
The services that we offer include:
Meet Apollo Care West Wirral’s Managing Director

Hannah White
About Hannah White
My name is Hannah White and I am the managing director and registered manager of Apollo Care (West Wirral). I have been working in the social care sector since 1997 so have many years’ experience of working with people with varying abilities and conditions. I was 18 when I began working as a home care worker and I soon realised this was the path for me, after all what is more rewarding than helping people to live their lives to the full! I gained valuable knowledge of working with people with physical and sensory disabilities, mental health, dementia, cognitive impairment and more specialist condition such as Motor Neurone Disease, Spina Bifida and Multiple sclerosis.
Over time I gained promotion to home care coordinator for a care provider on Wirral which is a role I held for over 10 years. During this time I developed as passion for social care and became dedicated to ensuring service users received the very best, high quality care. My main drive is my desire to ensure the care provided to people on Wirral is constantly improved and people needs are met with as minimum impact on their lifestyle as possible.
What people say about Apollo Care West Wirral
Absolutely fabulous care we’ve received since my Dad came out of hospital in August. Hannah and the team really care and are a pleasure to have around x
Hi Hannah,
I just wanted to let you know that M and S are so delighted with the level of care that they are receiving. They are really positive about each of the members of your team and they seem much more confident and positive about life in general – down in many ways to the lift they get from the team. They love their flexibility e.g., saving them as the freezer was defrosting, ironing (some better than S could do herself – praise indeed!!), shopping, making the bed etc. and lovely approach that they have when they visit.
Just thought it would be nice for you and the guys to know just how much they are valued and appreciated, and a really huge thanks from D & I as we’re now able to have quality time and relaxing time with them, as they have the energy and attitude to want to go out for coffee/lunch etc.
Many, many thanks – you’re a great team and do a really great job that’s much appreciated (directly by M & S” and indirectly by us too!!)
I joined Apollo Care in March 2014 and although I have only been an employee for such a short period of time I have made many friends and collected some great memories. I left my previous employment due to having very restricted working hours due to having two young children in full time education, when I explained this to my employer Hannah she understood fully and went above and beyond to accommodate and guide me into a role I have always been ambitious about. This company truly appreciates its employee’s hard work and commitment and rewards us all equally as well as being fully committed to providing the highest level of care to its clients. Due to me having no previous experience in this field of work I was provided with a very extensive training program which not only taught me the skills required but also gave me a better insight to how far Apollo Care will go to give its clients the exact service they require and deserve. At Apollo Care teamwork is key and the friendly environment where in reflects positively on our ability to work together.
