Recently, I had to put together a press release about how great our franchise teams are doing.
It was a really good chance to think back about the history of Apollo Care and why this company was set up in the first place.
Cheryl had seen first hand (being a palliative care nurse in the community), the lack of adequate much needed care that was being administered to her patients. This started a burning desire in Cheryl to be able to offer exceptional care to people, choosing to stay living in their own home.
Her forward thinking and hard work soon exceeded her expectations and she was faced with a decision she had to make… expand or franchise?
Compromising the care that we were giving was not an option so the decision was made to franchise Apollo Care. This allowed Cheryl to keep up the standards she wanted and also empowered people to be their own boss, whilst getting an amazing amount of support throughout the lifetime of the franchise. Also, this meant that more people benefited from the exceptional personal care that they were entitled to.
I’m glad to say that she has never strayed from this way of thinking and the care really does come first.
