For many of our service users, this is difficult to achieve on their own so we provide a service to help them. Our care workers will provide help in the following areas:
For most people, it is important to be house proud and
to live in clean, hygienic conditions and to enjoy a healthy and nutritional diet.
Our care staff will assist with housework to keep the home in a tidy condition. Not only is a tidier house important for those who want to feel comfortable, but it also helps prevent the spread of infection. Duties will include tasks such as hoovering, polishing, mopping and general tidying.
Our care staff will also wash dry and iron service users’ clothes or bedding to help them keep clean and healthy. They will also make the service users’ beds and change their linen to provide a comfortable and hygienic place for them to sleep.
Service users will often find it difficult to perform shopping tasks by themselves. We can help in various different ways. Our care workers can assist the service users during their shopping trips or fetch any bits that they need for them.
Our care staff can even collect prescriptions from their GP or chemist if it is needed.
A balanced diet is important for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our care staff will prepare healthy and wholesome meals that the service user will enjoy. All of our care staff are trained in food hygiene to provide peace of mind that the food they provide is safe to eat. We will also check food expiry dates in the home to ensure the health and safety of our service users.
